9. player. 45. . S. Denver Broncos. Grant Delpit

Man, the Denver Broncos are one of the toughest of the 32 teams to try and project what they’re going to do. Does this team believe in the future of Drew Lock enough to where they wouldn’t use a top-10 pick on a quarterback in a class rich with talent at the position? That’s ultimately the million-dollar question and, after using a second-round pick on Lock in 2019, they don’t double down here.

Instead, the Broncos try to revamp their defense under head coach Vic Fangio by adding a potential star safety in Grant Delpit. Yes, Denver could undoubtedly use help at cornerback given the uncertain future of Chris Harris Jr. with this team. Having said that, they can’t pass up on Delpit as they could also have holes at safety beyond this year and the LSU safety could well be a star in the making.

. LB. Las Vegas Raiders. Isaiah Simmons. 10. player. 28

Pick via Bears

Hats off to head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock for the job they’ve done with the Oakland Raiders. Many of their decisions have been mocked throughout the past couple of years. But when you get down to it, this team is now 5-4 after a Thursday Night Football win to start Week 10 and are very much alive in the playoff race.

Despite that, they still need help on the second level of their defense moving forward, which is why Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson comes into play here. The linebacker has freakish physical tools and playmaking ability on defense. His ability to patrol all over the field against both the run and pass means he’s the type of player the Raiders are sorely lacking right now. Using the final pick from the Khalil Mack trade, Oakland gets a defensive stud to continue their rebuild.
