Stud: Randall Cobb, Michael Gallup

Amari Cooper is the big-name receiver but Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb round this group out incredibly well. Gallup, the second-year wideout has developed into the perfect complement to the explosive Cooper and Cobb is a savvy slot-receiver with big-play ability.

They both got into the end zone on Sunday, and Cobb recorded his first 100-yard game as a member of the Cowboys as he pulled in six receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown. As for Gallup, he ended up with four catches for 76 yards which was third on the team for each statistic.

Dud: Early game urgency

Dallas had three possessions in the first quarter and they were not good. The first was their longest drive, which covered 36 yards and ended in a missed 57-yard field goal. They followed that up with two punts. As for the Vikings, they were much better.

They had two drives in the first and each ended in touchdowns. The first was a 53-yard drive on just five plays and the second was a more methodical 13-play, 90-yard drive. Both ended with touchdowns by Kyle Rudolph and Dallas entered the second quarter down 14-0.

That’s become a trend as of late as this team seems to love putting themselves in major holes early and hope to get it all figured out later. And the worst part is, it’s on both sides of the ball as the offense and defense were both terrible early in this one.
