3. Julio Jones

When Julio Jones is on and is having himself a good game, that means the Atlanta offense is rolling and usually means nothing but good things for the Falcons throughout any given week. Such was the case in the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, with Jones being found by his quarterback Matt Ryan for a few breakout receptions on the road in New Orleans.

In the win, Jones managed to haul in a team-best mark of 79 yards receiving through the air on a total of three catches. He averaged a total of 26.3 yards per catch in the game to pace Atlanta’s offensive unit.

So far this season, Jones has continued to be one of the top and more potent wideouts in the entire NFL. Through nine games, Jones has recorded 791 yards receiving through the air with four touchdowns on 53 receptions. With a total of 83 targets, Jones is averaging 14.9 yards per catch and has recorded a season-long reception of 54 yards, which he accomplished in the Week 10 win over New Orleans.

On Sunday against Carolina in another big divisional showdown, Jones will have to step up and be a big part of what Atlanta is trying to do offensively. If he is the focal point and does end up having a big game, that will likely mean nothing but good things for the Falcons as they try and grab their second straight win in the 2019 campaign.
