3. Thielen will miss second straight game

The first bold prediction that will take place in the game on Sunday afternoon for the Minnesota Vikings at home against the Denver Broncos is surrounding Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen.

The prediction entering the new week of the regular season is that Thielen will not take part in the contest for Minnesota, missing his second straight contest while still trying to recover and battle back from a hamstring injury he suffered against the Detroit Lions a few weeks ago.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Thielen has missed two of the last three games for the Vikings, while barely taking part in the Week 9 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs before leaving the game early on after still experiencing issues with his injury.

The reason behind making the prediction that the wide receiver will miss the contest for Minnesota on Sunday afternoon in the 11th week of the regular season schedule is because it is far more important for the Vikings moving forward if they are able to get Thielen back to being 100 percent healthy rather than rolling him out on the field not fully healthy.

As we saw in the game against the Chiefs on the road a few games ago, Thielen isn’t fully healthy and that as a result forced him out of the game early while maybe even pushing back his recovery timeline back a bit.

Another reason why Thielen should just be held out of the game against the Broncos this week is the fact that Denver is not that scary of an opponent for the Vikings, especially while they are at home in Minneapolis.

Minnesota is also going to be heading into its bye week in Week 12, which would allow Thielen time to make sure he is good to go in Week 13 and in the final few games of the regular season.

For the Vikings, it will be key to get Thielen back to being healthy for a remainder of the 2019 campaign and as they hope to prepare for the postseason at the end of the season. That is why he should be held out and should miss the Week 11 matchup against the Broncos this weekend.
