12. Jones records first career multi-touchdown game

Technically, Ronald Jones II is the No. 2 running back on the roster behind Peyton Barber, but the former USC star is certainly playing like a No. 1 running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019.

Last year, the Buccaneers knew they had nothing to lose by using a second-round pick on Jones to provide another weapon for Jameis Winston to work with on offense.

After seeing very little action as a rookie, Jones has seen an increased role in Tampa Bay’s offense during his sophomore campaign, and appears to have a bright future in the backfield.

If Barber weren’t in the mix, chances are Jones would see a heavier workload on offense for the Buccaneers, but also the two happen to make a solid duo for Tampa Bay on offense.

After surviving a tough battle with the Arizona Cardinals, the Buccaneers will certainly have their hands full in Week 11 taking on a New Orleans Saints looking to bounce back after a surprise loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Finding the end zone against a tough defense in the Saints certainly won’t be easy for Jones or the rest of the Buccaneers’ offense, but also keep in mind that Tampa Bay only lost by seven points during the first meeting between these teams back in October.

In other words, a big day by Jones on the ground shouldn’t be ruled out for the Buccaneers.
