Week 13 vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are much better than their 7-3 record shows. The team’s offense is third in rushing yards per game, racking up 153.0 per game thanks largely to Dalvin Cook. Minnesota’s passing attack lags behind a little, but Kirk Cousins has thrown 15 touchdowns and just one interception in the previous six games. He’s averaging a 124.4 passer rating during that span.

Defensively, the Vikings rank 18th in passing, seventh in rushing yards allowed per game, and eighth in points allowed this season. The defense features a line manned by Everson Griffen, Danielle Hunter, and Linval Joseph while Harrison Smith lurks in the secondary. Personnel wise, the Seahawks will struggle running the ball and will need to rely on the passing game.

The Vikings are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. If Kirk Cousins and his two star wide receivers get going against Seattle’s pedestrian secondary, the Seahawks won’t recover.

Predicted outcome: Loss

Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Rams

In their last three meetings, games between Seattle and Los Angeles have been decided by a total of eight points. The Rams won both matchups against the Seahawks last season, but Seattle returned the favor with a 30-29 in Week 5 this year.

Even with Todd Gurley not performing at a Pro Bowl level, the Rams are a tough team. Dante Fowler, Clay Matthews, who has 7.5 sacks in six games, Jalen Ramsey, and Eric Weddle are all serious difference-makers on the defensive side of the ball. That doesn’t even mention Aaron Donald.

Los Angeles’ passing game is also doing a decent job covering for the poor run game. Jared Goff is sixth in passing yards per game this year. That could prove lethal against Seattle’s bottom-six secondary.

As in most tough games this season, the outcome will come down to how Wilson and Seattle’s offense performs. If the premier version of the offense shows up, then the Rams are out of luck. When Wilson is on fire, the Seahawks can outscore the Rams.

Predicted outcome: Win
