5. San Francisco 49ers

Coming up short the way they did to the Seattle Seahawks has left the San Francisco 49ers with plenty to think about over the last couple of days, but also there’s no reason to be concerned.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Since it was only their first loss of 2019, the 49ers are obviously still in great shape to hang on to the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff race, although that’s always easier said than done.

With the Seahawks making the race a little more interesting after Monday’s win, another loss by the 49ers this weekend could result in the team dropping down to one of the Wild Card spots, depending on what happens with Seattle.

Back on Halloween, San Francisco managed to avoid a scare after barely getting by the Arizona Cardinals, and even though the 49ers will have the advantage of playing at home this time, it still could be a tougher challenge.

A team like the Cardinals with a rookie on the rise in Kyler Murray has nothing to lose at this point since the main focus for 2019 seems to be gaining experience for their beloved quarterback at this point.

After watching Arizona keep it close a few weeks ago, San Francisco better be careful once again, or a second loss in a row could result in a ton of extra pressure heading into Week 12.
