8. Kansas City Chiefs (9) – Play on Monday Night vs. Chargers

At 6-4, the Kansas City Chiefs don’t have the control over the AFC West they did this time a season ago. And it’s been recently that they’ve seen that slip away. Following a 4-0 start to the year, they lost four of their last six games including a frustrating three-point loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 10.

Now, they have a couple of AFC West battles coming up that could put them in complete control. First up is the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. While L.A. had a huge run to tie the Chiefs up in the standings — Kansas City won the west on a tiebreaker — they come into this meeting just 4-6.

Kansas City can not only climb higher in the ranks but they can also put down one of their more formidable foes in Philip Rivers. They then get a week off as they’ll be able to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving break before hitting the field again on Dec. 1.

That game will be against the Oakland Raiders, who are currently second in the division behind K.C. These two games will be huge. Should they hit their stride, the Chiefs could start to take off and begin looking toward the postseason.
