Stud: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

Earning the first turnover of the game, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix enjoyed a solid outing, finishing with seven combined tackles and a fumble recovery. On a first-and-10, safety Eddie Jackson forced Rams running back Todd Gurley to fumble the ball. While those watching suddenly began to realize Gurley had fumbled the ball, Clinton-Dix jumped right on it in order to recover it.

Simply put: Clinton-Dix was a smooth criminal on that play and, most importantly, a stud.
Although his strong play has made little impact on the game’s outcome, it is another statement play that shows he’s is putting together a solid first season with the Chicago Bears.

Dud: Eddy Piñeiro

The Piñeiro woes continue. After kicker Eddy Piñeiro missed a 48-yard attempt wide left in the first quarter, he would go on to miss yet another field goal attempt, this one wide right from 47 yards out.

To make matters worse, on one particular dive in the first half, the Bears defense recovered the ball and the offense did not convert on third down. But rather than turn to Piñeiro, the offense remained on the field and proceeded to attempt to convert on fourth down. As you can probably guess, they were unable to do so.

It looks like the double-doink curse is not over just yet.
