Week 13 vs. Bills (Thanksgiving Day)

Through 11 weeks of action, the Buffalo Bills have a better record than the Dallas Cowboys. That might be the most misleading simple statistic in the NFL, that the Bills are a good team that is going to make the playoffs in the AFC. For my money, this team is the most fraudulent group in the NFL right now and, when they’re matched up with tough teams down the stretch, they’ll falter.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Josh Allen has been fine in year two but all of the concerns about the Bills quarterback that he had coming out of Wyoming are still there as a passer. And though he can run and Buffalo has a host of talented running backs like Devin Singletary, the rushing attack has been inconsistent.

Thus, this team’s identity comes on defense — yet that unit has given up 21 points to the Dolphins, 31 points to Philly, 19 points to the Browns and 20 points to Miami again in four of the last five weeks. So even what the Bills are supposed to do well as a team, the side of the ball that is supposed to breed their success, has looked suspect against some relatively pedestrian groups.

For my money, the Cowboys would beat the Bills on any day of the week in any venue at any time given the construction of these two teams. Their offense is versatile enough to give Buffalo’s defense problem and I still have no faith in Allen running a competent offense with any kind of consistency.

If that weren’t enough, though, this game is in Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. That’s money in the bank for the Cowboys as they beat a second straight AFC East foe.

Predicted Result: Win
