4. Matt Patricia

First off, let the record show that Matt Patrica’s job will most likely be safe when it’s all said and done for the Detroit Lions, especially since the offense has been forced to adjust to playing without Matthew Stafford over the last two weeks.

All due respect to Jeff Driskel since the backup quarterback has looked impressive at times over the previous two games, but no one needs to explain just how much of a difference-maker Stafford can be when healthy for the Lions.

At the beginning of the regular season, Detroit appeared to be on their way to becoming one of the top contenders in the NFC, but unfortunately things have gone downhill for the most part since the end of September.

With six losses over their last seven games, the Lions are another loss or two away from sticking a fork in the 2019 season, meaning the team will also be facing the difficult decision of whether Patricia is worth keeping around.

Since this is only Patricia’s second season as head coach, and the talent seems to be there to turn things around in 2020, the Lions head coach is most likely safe.

But since opinions can quickly change in the blink of an eye, Patricia will be worth keeping an eye on over these next few weeks.
