8. Sam Darnold, QB, Jets (vs. OAK)

Surprisingly, Sam Darnold has had two straight games with 21+ fantasy points. While that came against two of the worst teams in football (Giants and Redskins), he goes up against another struggling defense in the Oakland Raiders.

More from NFL Spin Zone

In four of the last five games, the Raiders have given up at least 24 points and are giving up an average of 287 passing yards per game in that five-game stretch. With Le’Veon Bell finally looking like his old self and the Jets receivers playing their best football over the last two weeks, look for Darnold to exceed his projected 14.6 points this week.

7. Bo Scarbrough, RB, Lions (vs. WAS)

This past Sunday was Bo Scarbrough’s first NFL action since being drafted in the seventh round in 2018. With the absence of Kerryon Johnson and the underachieving Ty Johnson, Scarbrough got to showcase his unique skillset. With 14 rushes for 59 yards and a touchdown, that tallied up to 11.5 fantasy points.

This week, he gets an abysmal Redksins run defense to match up against. In the past five games, Washinton has given up an average of 14.3 fantasy points to opposing running backs and 21 points per game on the actual scoreboard.

Scarbrough was the talk of the waiver wire and, if he gets the same amount of usage or more as he did last week, you can slot him into your flex spot. Expect him to eclipse his projected 8.8 points this week.
