2020 NFL Mock Draft: Tua injury drops him to Patriots, Chase Young does Washington
Perhaps one of the most fascinating part of the Raiders’ success this season is that their weaponry on offense is not all that impressive. Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs have been great and Hunter Renfrow is a nice slot weapon but Tyrell Williams has been inconsistent and the rest of the group leaves a lot to be desired. Laviska Shenault Jr. is a movable chess piece and bonafide game-breaker that would give the Raiders multiple elements on offense that they don’t have currently.

Completing (sort of) and offensive overhaul in the first round, the Dolphins look to protect Herbert and help to make CeeDee Lamb a usable weapon by taking offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood with the pick owed to them ironically from the Laremy Tunsil trade. Leatherwood can slot inside or outside with experience at guard and tackle but would be the flagship piece of the Dolphins line upon his arrival.
Despite the Minnesota Golden Gophers’ unbeaten run ending, wide receiver Tyler Johnson proved that he has WR1 potential at the NFL level. The pass-catcher has solid size but is just a monster when the ball is coming his way, making contested-catch plays frequently and then also having the ability to break loose with the ball in his hands. Johnson is a stud that can help Josh Allen and the Bills offense reach the next level.
The Cowboys defense has not been anything to write home about as of late and the safety position has been in full focus. Dallas simply must upgrade over Darian Thompson and Jeff Heath, meaning Hamsah Nasirildeen is the right guy. With a huge, long frame, Nasirildeen has the ability to make plays in the box but has also showcased playmaking on the ball. He’s the versatile threat on the back end this defense is sorely missing right now.
