18. New York Jets (24)

Most football fans had a feeling the New York Jets were capable of pulling off a surprise upset over the Oakland Raiders in Week 12, but it’s safe to assume that no one expected the results to be 34-3.

All of a sudden, the Jets are beginning to heat up out of nowhere with three wins in a row, but there’s no question the Raiders were the team’s most impressive win of the month.

Unfortunately, it was difficult to give the Jets high praise for previously defeating the New York Giants and Washington Redskins over the last few weeks since the two teams rank near the bottom of the league for a reason.

But after defeating the Raiders the way they did, now the question becomes whether the Jets can continue to play on this high of a level.

In a way, the play from the Jets over the last three games is what most football fans expected at the start of 2019, especially when it comes to Sam Darnold beginning to take a major step in the right direction.

At 4-7, it will be interesting to see how the final five games go for the Jets, because if they can continue to win games like Sunday, it could make the AFC playoff race even more interesting to follow.
