Leading into the Week 13 showdown at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ryan and the Falcons and Brees and the Saints hold two top offenses in the NFL, which will make for an entertaining matchup between the two squads this week.
Through 12 weeks of action, Atlanta ranks 10th in the league in total yards per game (371.4), including ranking third in the NFL in passing yards per game (298.5). New Orleans, on the other hand, ranks 12th in the league in yards per contest (368.9), while ranking ninth in the NFL in passing yards per game (260.5).
Specifically when it comes down to the two veteran quarterbacks, Ryan ranks sixth in the NFL in passing yards on the year (2,934), is tied for third in completions (266) and is tied for 10th in touchdown passes (18). Brees, who missed a few games earlier in the year with a hand injury, currently ranks 30th in passing yards (1,607), is 30th in completions (159) and ranks tied for 25th in the league in touchdown passes (11).
On Thursday night in the final game of a three-game slate of contests on Thanksgiving Day, look for Ryan, Brees and both offenses on each side of the field to put on a showing early and often throughout the course of the matchup in Atlanta.
