New York Jets stock report, Week 13: Sam Darnold leading in bull market
The New York Jets are riding high after their 34-3 rout of the Oakland Raiders Sunday afternoon. Here is their current stock report.
As we head into Week 13 of the 2019 NFL season (the season does fly by doesn’t it?), it’s time for the latest version of the New York Jets stock report.
Gang Green is coming off a rousing 34-3 rout of the Oakland Raiders Sunday at rainy MetLife Stadium. The victory was their third straight and lifted their record to 4-7. The silver and black slipped to 6-5 with the setback.
Gang Green has now tallied 34 points in three consecutive contests. Let’s take a look at their current stock report, a bull market indeed.

Stock Up
Sam Darnold: It’s been quite a run lately for the USC product — seven touchdown passes with just one interception in his last three games, all Jets victories. Darnold is finally getting time to throw behind an offensive line that is performing much better of late. He is stepping up stronger in the pocket and his mobility to throw on the run has been impressive.
Darnold has tallied a pair of rushing touchdowns over his last three games as well. He seems to be taking real command of the huddle and the talent that made him the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft is shining through. Upcoming games against the Bengals and Dolphins will have him singing, “Happy Days are here again.”
Robby Anderson: The lanky speed demon enjoyed one of the finest games of the 2019 season with four receptions for 86 yards and a score. It was nice to see the Jets pull some creative plays from Adam Gase’s bag of tricks with a flea-flicker from Darnold to Anderson in New York’s 34-3 thrashing of Oakland on Sunday.
Anderson needs to continue his strong recent performance because he’s a free agent at end of the year. Anderson paces Gang Green in yards per reception (15.3, min. 30 catches).
Gregg Williams: The Jets defensive coordinator has the green and white performing at a premier level recently. Gang Green has allowed just 10 points per game over the last two weeks and added 13 sacks (three by Jamal Adams) to boot over the last three.
The Raiders gained just 208 total yards on Sunday and good times should continue moving forward with upcoming contests with the winless Bengals and hapless Dolphins.
Stock Down
Jamison Crowder: This is really nit-picking because it’s hard to find a bear market Jets performer these days but a slight downturn goes to the veteran Gang Green wide receiver.
Against one of the worst defenses in the NFL against slot receivers, Crowder could amass just two catches for 18 yards against the Raiders. He’s still Darnold’s favorite receiver and he’ll bounce back against Cincinnati.
