Tight Ends

Travis Kelce (KC vs. OAK, $7,200) is the highest-priced Week 13 tight end, and while he’s been consistent, he hasn’t had a true breakout game yet. He’s had only one 100-yard game, and has only four touchdowns in eleven games. One of these days, Kelce will have the 10-catch, 100-yard, multi-touchdown game everyone expects, and it may come this week against the Oakland Raiders if Tyreek Hill is limited.

Dropped passes have plagued Philadelphia Eagles pass catchers this season, but not Zach Ertz (PHI at MIA, $6,700). The top-tier tight end has logged three straight weeks with ten or more targets and nine or more catches and can be had for $500 less than Kelce on DraftKings this week. Meanwhile, teammate Dallas Goedert (PHI at MIA, $4,100) was targeted five or more times in his last four games, and has averaged over 11 fantasy points per game in his last six contests.

Darren Waller (OAK at KC, $5,500) might offer the best value at the position this week, as he stands to benefit from the rib injury sustained by possession receiver Hunter Renfrow. The 6-6 hulkster is capable of a smash week in a favorable matchup against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that’s had issues shutting down tight ends this season.

Just when some fantasy football pundits were preparing for rookie Irv Smith’s emergence, Kyle Rudolph (MIN at SEA, $4,200) reminded us that he was one of the league’s most efficient pass-catching tight ends last season. The price is nice for a guy who has seen five or more targets and scored at least one touchdown in four of his last five games.

Last but not least, Jack Doyle (IND vs. TEN, $3,300) is the biggest beneficiary of Eric Ebron’s trip to the IR list. Doyle should see his target volume skyrocket en route to a Top Ten finish among fantasy tight ends from here on out, starting this week against a Titans defense that’s middling in terms of limiting damage caused by opposing tight ends (15th in the league).
