New Orleans Saints: 3 Bold predictions vs. Falcons, Week 13
3. Saints defense doesn’t allow a rushing TD
Looking at the Saints defense, their major achievement this season has been stopping the run. Even if they’ve allowed a score, the team still managed to allow a very small amount of yards per team. Last week against the Panthers, the Saints only allowed Christian McCaffrey 64 yards on 22 attempts and a touchdown. Considering how dynamic McCaffrey has been, that’s pretty impressive.

Heading into Week 13, the Saints defense is going to continue the trend. Most of that is courtesy of Cameron Jordan and Sheldon Rankins as the two big men up front.
Even in their last game against the Falcons, the Saints didn’t allow a rushing touchdown nor did they allow over 100 yards rushing to any player. On Thursday, I predict that the Saints won’t allow a rushing touchdown when they meet up with the Falcons again.
While the Saints defense has allowed tons of passing touchdowns and yards, their run defense has been outstanding. Along with not allowing rushing touchdowns, I predict that the Saints defense will hold Matt Ryan to less than 150 yards passing. It seemed like Week 10 was a fluke for the Saints and that they’re going to play as they have for the majority of the season.
Last week showed that the Falcons aren’t invincible and the Saints are going to take advantage. This is more of a revenge game than anything and the Saints defense will show the Falcons that they aren’t the same team they were earlier this month.
