5. Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

The player who’ll get the most hype among LSU’s 2020 NFL Draft prospects is Joe Burrow, and deservedly so. The LSU Tigers dominated the Texas A&M Aggies 50-7 with Burrow likely sealing the deal for the Heisman Trophy. One of the men on the outside helping Burrow contend for the Heisman, though, is wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson didn’t have jaw-dropping numbers with six catches for 55 yards. One of those six catches brought his touchdown total to 13 on the season, though. Jefferson is 6-3, 192 pounds and runs routes like a guy who’s 5-11. He sinks his hips and shows quickness in and out of his breaks. He stretches the field thanks to his speed and ability to use his length to high point the ball.

He’s no slouch after the catch either. Jefferson runs tough and uses a stiff arm like a running back. He can also break down and break ankles to elude defenders. Thanks to his catch radius, he’s a great red-zone target.

At the next level, he’ll work well in any system thanks to his ability to work well on all three levels. He has the skill-set to become a No. 1 in the NFL. Jefferson has made a name for himself as one of the more reliable wide receiver prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft.
