Uniform of the Week: Miami Dolphins

It was a tough choice this week. The Saints and Falcons both made good cases. I’m a sucker for those clean New Orleans throwbacks. (Why don’t more teams wear throwbacks on Thanksgiving anymore?) I thought I’d be a fan of Seattle’s neon-navy combo, but it fell short of expectations.

The Dolphins finally get a W here with their simple yet sensational teal throwbacks, which are the only type of jerseys where I can tolerate gray facemasks on. By the way, ditching gray for white facemasks was the best decision Buffalo has ever made.

Hands of the Week: Courtland Sutton

There were some great catches this week, took. Shy Tuttle’s one-handed pick (and stiff arm of Matt Ryan) was incredible, even for a defensive lineman. Mike Williams and James Washington had a pair of nice snags, though Courtland Sutton’s one-arm, over-the-shoulder touchdown grab while falling down was a thing of beauty.

Swiss Army Knife Award: Taysom Hill

What can’t he do?  Less than a minute after blocking a punt, Hill caught a pass for a first down. Then, as I typed that sentence, Hill caught a pitch and ran it in for the touchdown. The next quarter, he ran for a 30-yard score. It’s only a matter time before he’s listed as a wide receiver in fantasy.

Play of the Season: Miami Dolphins

Some more praise for Miami in what might be the craziest play call of the season. As former punter Pat McAfee would say, this touchdown pass by punter Matt Haack is #ForTheBrand.

Accessory of the Season: Benny Snell

I don’t know why nor how Snell stuck a fidget spinner into his mouthguard. I also don’t care. This looks dope. (I know that’s not a fidget spinner, don’t worry.)

Articles of the Week

When Gardner Minshew was benched for Nick Foles, I publicly disagreed with the decision. Now, Dan Parzych says it’s Foles who could be going farther than just the bench.

Who could hire Ron Rivera? Dan Parzych thinks these five teams can.

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t had much help this season. Luckily, Joe Kipp thinks this emerging young star could be the answer Rodgers is seeking.
