6. Vikings score six touchdowns against Lions

As frustrating as it was for the Minnesota Vikings to come up short on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, the good news for Mike Zimmer’s squad is they still control their own playoff destiny.

While the Vikings currently hold a one-game lead over the Los Angeles Rams for the final Wild Card spot, Minnesota is also still in the hunt for the NFC North title as well with the Green Bay Packers, meaning every game the rest of the way will be important.

With the Detroit Lions down to their third-string quarterback in David Blough, this should be one of those games in which the Vikings win with ease, especially if Kirk Cousins can find a way to shred the defense like he did the first meeting.

There are plenty of players facing heavy pressure to show off their skills in these final weeks of regular season, but Cousins could be in serious trouble with that hefty contract if he fails to lead Minnesota to the playoffs for a second year in a row.

But since Cousins has been playing well over the last few months, there’s no reason to be worried heading into Sunday’s game with the Lions.
