Before the Atlanta Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 14, here are three players that must step up and shine for the Falcons in the contest.

The Atlanta Falcons return to action in Week 14 of the 2019 NFL regular season looking to get back on track and in the win column during the home stretch of the year. The Falcons, who are riding a two-game losing streak going into the fresh week, will remain at home in Atlanta for the third week in a row while hosting yet another NFC South opponent at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Atlanta will welcome in the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Week 14 for a contest between two teams that are continuing to try and climb in the NFC South standings but failing.

The Falcons come into the game at 3-9 overall on the year, falling in two straight games at home to fellow divisional opponents in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints in the last few contests.

Atlanta, which is a surprising 1-5 in front of its home fans so far this season, is coming off of a loss to New Orleans in Week 13 on Thanksgiving Day in Atlanta, a game where the Falcons fell 26-18 on national television.

The Falcons currently sit behind the Panthers (5-7 overall), Buccaneers (5-7) and Saints (10-2) in the NFC South division going into the new week of games.

On the other side of the field, Atlanta will take a Carolina squad which is also struggling, having lost four games in a row going into the Week 14 slate of games around the league.

While going through a coaching change over the week with Ron Rivera being fired by the organization, the Panthers will look to regroup on the road against the Falcons while trying to make a late-season push back up the league standings.

Before Atlanta and Carolina square off in a divisional showdown on Sunday afternoon, let’s dive into three players that will need to step up and shine for the Falcons in order to come away with a victory at home.
