For a team that had to overcome losing Antonio Brown in the offseason along with Ben Roethlisberger suffering a season-ending injury, the Steelers seemed like they were in for a year of disappointment.
Instead, Pittsburgh found a way to turn around a 1-4 start, and currently sit at 7-5 entering their weekend contest against the Arizona Cardinals.
After hanging on for a thrilling win over the Cleveland Browns last weekend to build a stronger case for a playoff spot, the Steelers hope to make it seven wins over their last eight games by defeating the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
In comparison, this seems like it should be an easy victory for Pittsburgh since Arizona has been dealing with a year of rebuilding, but also Kyler Murray is the kind of rookie who could explode for a monster performance out of nowhere.
If the Steelers aren’t careful, a potential loss to the Cardinals could hurt their playoff chances, and put even more pressure on Pittsburgh heading into the final three weeks of the regular season since there are plenty of teams battling for that final Wild Card spot.
