5. Raiders vs. Titans

A couple of weeks ago, the Oakland Raiders seemed like they were emerging as one of the hottest teams in the AFC, and even looked ready to give the Kansas City Chiefs a run for their money when it comes to the division title.

More from NFL Spin Zone

This could still turn out to be the Chiefs, but with the Raiders combining for just 12 points over their last two games in losses to Kansas City and the New York Jets, Oakland better figure out a way to get out of their recent slump.

Otherwise, January will arrive, and the Raiders will be at risk to be watching the playoffs from home, which would make all that previous impressive play look like a complete waste for the team.

Meanwhile, Oakland opponent in the Tennessee Titans have built a strong case for being one of the top teams to beat in the AFC over the last two months by winning five of their last six games with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

One can only imagine how different things would be in Tennessee this season if Mike Vrabel never made the switch from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. And if the Titans find a way to make it six wins in seven games by defeating the Raiders, the rest of the AFC better be on high alert.
