Our latest 2020 NFL Mock Draft has the new Panthers head coach starting with Jalen Hurts while the Cowboys get lucky with Grant Delpit.

We’ve finally reached the final 2020 NFL Mock Draft before bowl season gets underway. On Sunday, the College Football Playoff field will be revealed after the conference championship games and the rest of the bowl games will follow suit. And it’s been a wild week in the NFL to lead up to this final mock and first-round projection for the 2020 NFL Draft.

On Tuesday, the Carolina Panthers made the shocking move to let head coach Ron Rivera go. This is now an organization at a turning point as they will be looking for a new head coach but could also potentially be looking for a new quarterback. The future of Cam Newton remains in flux, though it does appear certain that Kyle Allen is not the long-term answer for Carolina.

Beyond the Panthers making a coaching change, we’ve seen plenty of other meaningful happenings throughout the league. The Miami Dolphins keep winning games, the Cincinnati Bengals finally won their first contest of the 2019 season while the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns look like shells of the teams they were supposed to be this year.

The gist of the matter is that there is no shortage of teams that need a great deal of help to get their franchises headed in the right direction. For teams like the Panthers, Dolphins and Bengals (and others, to be sure), that means getting a quarterback. Others, meanwhile, need help elsewhere on the roster to build around assets already in place.

All 32 teams will get a great look at some high-profile 2020 NFL Draft prospects on Friday and Saturday in the conference championship games as first-round locks like Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Tyler Biadasz, Andrew Thomas, Grant Delpit, Jeffrey Okudah and Kristian Fulton will all be on display. Fringe first-rounders such as Travis Etienne, Jalen Hurts, Curtis Weaver, D’Andre Swift and many more will be in action as well.

But before we see all of that, let’s get another 2020 NFL Mock Draft underway. As is customary here, the draft order for this mock is determined by our latest NFL Power Rankings, meaning we have a new team picking at No. 1. Let’s start with that team: the New York Giants.
