Odell Beckham Jr. could be eyeing Dallas Cowboys
By Randy Gurzi
Odell Beckham, Jr. reportedly has a wandering eye and he could be targeting a move that would make him a member of the Dallas Cowboys
It’s been a poorly kept secret that Odell Beckham, Jr. has been misused by the Cleveland Browns this season. The electric wideout joined them following an offseason trade and the hype train went through the roof as he was added to an offense that included Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Jarvis Landry.
However, OBJ hasn’t had the impact the team expected from him. Through 13 games, he has 59 receptions for 844 yards and just two touchdowns. These are some low numbers for a player who was a highlight waiting to happen with the New York Giants.
His unhappiness has gotten so bad that according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, Beckham is reportedly telling teams to go after him in the offseason. And Robinson also suggests that OBJ wants to make his way to Big D to become a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

"“What any of this means for Beckham’s future is a whole other matter. He has an opinionated circle of friends and family that surrounds him. Some still speak in hopeful tones about him potentially ending up with the Dallas Cowboys, which would put him in close proximity to his parents.“ — Robinson, Yahoo Sports"
It’s an interesting scenario and it’s also not the first time Beckham and the Cowboys were linked. Before landing with Cleveland, there were reports that Dallas was on OBJ’s shortlist of teams he would like to be traded to.
The question now is what that would mean for Amari Cooper. The current No. 1 wideout in Dallas, Cooper is having a great season for the Cowboys while trying to land a long-term deal.
Should Dallas decide to bring in Beckham, it seems that would all but kill any chances of Cooper remaining on their roster. Already close to the salary cap, Dallas wouldn’t be able to afford each of those players.
That doesn’t mean Jerry Jones wouldn’t pull the trigger as he loves to make a splash. However, he needs to be sure that this season was the anomaly.
The Cowboys would also need to believe that OBJ is an upgrade over Cooper, which isn’t a given at this point.
