20. Blough wins first game as Lions starter
By losing nine of their last 10 games, this is the perfect example of how the 2019 season has been for the Detroit Lions, and it certainly doesn’t help that the offense is down to their third-string quarterback in David Blough.

After showing potential to be a surprise impact player on offense during Thanksgiving Day, the undrafted rookie received a major wake-up call last weekend in a rough loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Being thrown into the mix as a result of injuries to two other quarterbacks is never an easy task for any individual, but Blough also realizes these final few weeks are the perfect opportunity to audition for a roster spot in 2020, whether it’s in Detroit or somewhere else.
With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming to town, Bruce Arians and company have certainly been heating up in recent weeks, but also this could be the perfect opportunity for Blough to earn that first win as the starter.
If the rookie can figure out a way to play at a similar from the first half of that Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears, the Lions could win for the first time since the end of October by taking down the Buccaneers.
