Atlanta Falcons: 3 Bold predictions vs. 49ers, Week 15
2. Falcons offense will be limited
Following a strong 40-point performance in Week 14 at home against the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta will go up against one of the top defenses in the league on the side of the 49ers this weekend.
Coming into the game, San Francisco ranks second in the NFL in total yards it has allowed opponents to record per game with 267.4 per contest while allowing opposing teams to average 17.6 points per game, which is the third-best mark in the league.
On the other side fo the field, the Falcons rank seventh in the league in total yards per game with 376.5, including ranking third in passing yards per game (295.7) and 30th in rushing yards per game (80.8). Atlanta is also averaging 23.1 points per game, which is tied with Carolina for 14th-best in the NFL.
One thing that Atlanta has playing in its favor and will once again have for Sunday’s game on the road in California is that the Falcons appear to be fully healthy and now contain a full offensive unit behind quarterback Matt Ryan under center.
That offense will need to try and have a big performance in Week 15 on the road, but it’s likely that we will see this Atlanta offense get limited throughout the game against San Francisco.
