14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (16)

Imagine how different things would be in the NFC playoff picture at the moment if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were playing this well earlier on in the year, but at least ending the season on a high note could be a confidence booster for 2020.

For the fifth time in six games, the Buccaneers ended up victorious after defeating the Detroit Lions 38-17 thanks to another strong outing by Jameis Winston on offense.

A few months ago, there were plenty of questions surrounding the former No. 1 pick, and if Tampa Bay would be better off without Winston after the 2020 season.

Throughout Winston’s career, there have been plenty of frustrating moments in which turning the football over has been a major concern, but Sunday’s win over the Lions was the perfect example of what he’s capable of under center.

Tampa Bay knew adjusting to playing without Mike Evans was going to be a difficult challenge against the Lions, but the fact that Winston still finished with 458 passing yards to go along with four touchdowns shows he deserves to still be the starter.

But since nothing is guaranteed, it’s still important for Winston to finish 2020 on a strong note to show the Buccaneers they won’t regret the decision, assuming this is where Tampa Bay’s leaning towards.
