7. Mostert finds end zone three times

Losing to the Atlanta Falcons at home was a wasted opportunity for the San Francisco 49ers since Kyle Shanahan’s team fell from the top overall seed in the NFC to a Wild Card spot.

For most of the season, the 49ers have been considered the team to beat within the NFC, and while this may still very well be the case, San Francisco will certainly have their work cut out for them against the Los Angeles Rams.

Since the Rams need to win each of their last two games just to have a fighting chance at a playoff spot, the 49ers will need to make sure they avoid a similar situation as last week in which they allowed the Falcons to defeat them in the final seconds.

At least with this being a rivalry game, San Francisco already has an early advantage after defeating the Rams during the first meeting back in October.

After watching the Dallas Cowboys shred the defense of the Rams on the ground, the 49ers would be smart to take a similar approach with Raheem Mostert.

It’s no secret that Los Angeles has struggled over the last few years when it comes to stopping the run, and as long as San Francisco puts the football in Mostert’s hands as much as possible, the 49ers should be able to sweep their rivals on the season.
