Before the New England Patriots face the Buffalo Bills in a big Week 16 game, here are three players that will need to step up and shine for the Patriots.

The New England Patriots will go into the early start for Week 16 looking to check one more thing off of their to-do list for the 2019 NFL season.  The defending Super Bowl Champions go into a big contest on Saturday afternoon at Gillette Stadium against an opponent that’s also playoff-bound.

Coming off of a dominant 34-13 victory in Week 15 over the Cincinnati Bengals on the road, while also snapping a two-game losing streak going into the matchup, New England will host the Buffalo Bills on Saturday looking to secure the AFC East title.

If the Patriots are able to take down the Bills at home, they would clinch the AFC East title once again in 2019. New England holds a one-game lead over Buffalo in the division through 15 weeks of action.

New England enters the contest with a record of 11-3 overall, sitting atop the AFC East ahead of the Bills (10-4), New York Jets (5-9) and Miami Dolphins (3-11). The Patriots also hold onto the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff breakdown, trailing only the Baltimore Ravens (12-2) in the No. 1 spot.

In Week 16, New England will host a Buffalo team that has put together a nice season up to this point in the year. The Bills are coming off of a 17-10 win on the road over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 on Sunday Night Football to remain within one game of the Patriots in the AFC East standings.

Buffalo is riding a two-game winning streak, having won four of its last five contests going into the Week 16 game against the defending Super Bowl Champions.

Before the Patriots and Bills face off on Saturday evening in Foxborough in Week 16, let’s take a look at three players for New England as it looks to claim yet another division title at home.
