2. New England offense will score NFL-most in Week 17

Another bold prediction is that the Patriots will end up scoring the most out of any team in the NFL in Week 17. Although this New England offense hasn’t been as dominant here in 2019 as we have been used to seeing out of them in year’s past, the Patriots will have a nice bounce-back week this weekend while going up against a struggling Miami defensive group.

Going into the regular-season finale, the Dolphins defense has given up a total of 400.8 yards per game to opposing teams through 16 weeks, which is the worst mark in the entire NFL. Put simply, they’ve struggled to stop just about anyone they’ve come up against, whether that offense is struggling or not.

Miami’s defensive unit has allowed opposing offenses to average 135.4 yards per game in the running game (ranks 27th in the league) while giving up an average of 275.5 passing yards per game (ranks 26th in NFL). There isn’t an area of the game where the Dolphins defense isn’t susceptible to being taken advantage of.

Mixed with the fact that Dolphins have struggled on defense up to this point in the regular season and the fact that the Patriots have the capability to air the ball out or break out for a lengthy run at any point in a game will result in New England quarterback Tom Brady and company putting up a NFL-high in points scored prior to the start of the playoffs in a little over a week.
