One Christmas gift each NFL team wishes was under the tree
NFC East Christmas Wishlist
Dallas Cowboys: Extra salary cap room
The obvious answer here would be for Jason Garrett to be gone as head coach. As that seems likely to happen, though, we’re going a little deeper for the Cowboys biggest wish this Christmas.
Having already locked up DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, La’el Collins and Ezekiel Elliott (in addition to the rest of their offensive line), Dallas still has key pieces like Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper and Byron Jones looking for new deals. They won’t be able to sign them all so, if they could some extra salary cap space than what the other 32 teams get, that would be ideal for the ‘Boys.

New York Giants: Chase Young
Following their Week 16 victory over Washington — albeit in unconvincing fashion — the Giants are likely going to be picking in the No. 4 range come the 2020 NFL Draft. That’s bad news because Ohio State pass-rusher and the consensus top non-quarterback prospect, Chase Young, will be off the board by then. If Big Blue could have their ideal world, they would somehow still be able to bring him onto their defense.
Philadelphia Eagles: Any good wide receiver willing to play
Yes, the Eagles all but won the NFC East by beating the hapless Jason Garrett-led Cowboys in Week 16. However, their playoff hopes beyond that are slim given the immense injuries they’re dealing with, particularly at wide receiver. With Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside playing significant snaps right now, any quality wide receiver would be a wish that Philly would want granted on Christmas.
Washington Redskins: Dan Snyder selling the franchise
This is pretty simple. Washington has been mired in one negative storyline after another and more than enough dysfunction to last a lifetime under the watch of Dan Snyder’s ownership. Snyder selling the Redskins and moving on to something new (and, thus, better) would alleviate the migraines of many people in the nation’s capital.
