9. Chiefs give up 17 points or less for sixth game in a row

Thanks to Patrick Mahomes emerging out of nowhere last season to take home MVP honors, the Kansas City Chiefs are normally known for a team with an explosive offense.

And while this appeared to be the major strength for the Chiefs early on in 2019, the last five games have shown just how great Kansas City’s defense can be as well.

Just how great have the Chiefs been on the defensive side of the football? All football fans need to do is look at how Kansas City has allowed 17 points or less in each of their last five games to show they could be the difference maker in the team making a strong push for the Super Bowl.

With the Chiefs closing out the regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs will be in great position to keep this impressive defensive streak alive heading into January, which could give the team a major advantage in the playoff picture.

One can only imagine how frustrated Kansas City was feeling last January after coming up short in the AFC Championship to the New England Patriots, but at least the results from the last two months provide hope for the Chiefs in the playoffs.
