20. Lock ends season 4-1 as Broncos starter

For a team that has desperately been trying to find a new quarterback to build the franchise around since Peyton Manning decided to retire, the Denver Broncos have plenty of reasons to be excited about the potential surrounding Drew Lock.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Back in April, there were plenty of critics who believed the Broncos jumped the gun on using a second-round pick on Lock since the argument could be made the Missouri product still would have been available in the next round.

Dealing with an injury to start off his rookie campaign was the last thing Lock wanted to be dealing with, but watching him over the last four games has been truly incredible to witness.

Like most rookies, Lock still has plenty of areas in need of improvement before he’s anywhere near the level the Broncos need him to be on, but three wins in four starts to begin a NFL career is quite impressive.

Even though the Oakland Raiders have more to play for in Week 17 with slim playoff chances on the line, don’t be surprised if Lock ends up finishing his rookie campaign on a hot note by improving his record to 4-1 as the starter for the Broncos.
