5. Vikings vs. Bears

No matter what happens on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings will still enter the NFC playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the NFC after it became official Monday night during their loss to the Green Bay Packers, although who their opponent will be has yet to be determined.

A few weeks ago when the Chicago Bears were still in the playoff hunt, this game could have been a lot more exciting, but also this NFC North meeting still has a chance to bring some sort of excitement to the table.

One year after the Bears emerged as the surprise winners of the NFC North to earn a trip to the playoffs, it’s ironic how the Vikings will be the ones representing one of two teams within the division this time around.

As for which starters, if any at all, will earn any rest in Week 17, this is one of the tough decisions Mike Zimmer will need to decide on over the next few days since there is a strong case to be made on both ends.

Defeating the Bears to close out the 2019 season would certainly feel great on Minnesota’s end, and would help the Vikings keep the momentum going in the playoffs, but also they can’t afford to risk any unfortunate injuries.
