Buffalo Bills (5) at Houston Texans (4)

Saturday, January 4, 4:35PM ET

Arguably the most even of the Wild Card Round matchups, this battle between the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills figures to be one worth watching. While it may not be a high-scoring affair, we’re sure to see plenty of big plays and tough breaks in this one.

More from NFL Spin Zone

It’s essentially a tug-of-war between two opposite squads. For the Bills, it’s all about playing excellent defense and hoping Josh Allen can muster enough points to win the game. As for the Texans, it’s all about getting as many touchdowns as possible, courtesy of Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and the rest of the offense.

So which will prevail on Saturday? Can the Buffalo defense slow Watson enough to secure the win? Or will Allen fail to keep up in the scoring department, paving an easy road for the Texans towards a win? Seeing as I’m making predictions, I’m going with the latter.

Watson gets the most of the Bills defense, putting on a show the likes of which we’ve become used to for the Houston quarterback. Allen isn’t a complete mess and Devin Singletary does his part to keep it close, but it’s not enough.

Prediction: Texans win 27-23
