6. Cousins finishes with four turnovers

One year after failing to even earn a Wild Card spot in the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings did everything in their power to make sure it didn’t happen again this season.

Prior to the 2018 season, part of the reasoning behind the signing of Kirk Cousins was the belief that he was the answer on offense to help the Vikings get over the hump by reaching the Super Bowl.

As football fans went on to learn, this was far from the case last season since Minnesota ended up watching the playoffs from home.

And while the Vikings certainly deserve credit for earning the final Wild Card spot in the NFC, the pressure will be on Cousins with his history of playing in the national spotlight.

To say Cousins has struggled in primetime games throughout his career would be one of the biggest understatements of the decade, and a meeting with the Saints is literally one of the toughest first playoff matchups as a Viking the quarterback could ask for.

Cousins will certainly benefit from working with his usual weapons on offense such as Dalvin Cook and Stefon Diggs, but unfortunately fans should expect numerous turnovers as well from a tough defense in the Saints.
