In comparison, there’s every reason to believe the Seahawks will win this game since the Eagles haven’t been able to catch a break all year in the injury department, whether it involves losing DeSean Jackson early on or Alshon Jeffery towards the end of the regular season.
However, Philadelphia has been one of the biggest surprises from the last month after winning each of their final four games just to earn a trip to the playoffs by winning the NFC East.
It’s tough to put into words how surprising it was to see the Eagles capture the division title over the Dallas Cowboys since their current roster looks like a practice squad on offense, but Philadelphia certainly isn’t going to complain.
Just because the Seahawks won the first battle between these two teams doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen again, as the Eagles seem determined to make a statement against Russell Wilson and company.
Plenty of critics believe the Eagles don’t deserve to be part of the playoffs, but also this could provide the extra motivation needed to make this battle with the Seahawks even more exciting.
