4. Watson, Allen both throw multiple picks

Though they are just separated by a year in terms of NFL experience, there is an apparent chasm between Josh Allen and Deshaun Watson as the two quarterbacks square off on Saturday afternoon. While Watson has looked like an MVP-caliber player at times, Allen remains an inconsistent (though much improved) passer with plenty of warts to speak of.

In the Wild Card Round, however, these two signal-callers will look like they are on a level playing field with one another and not in a favorable way.

For Allen, the Texans have a weak secondary that has been put together through patchwork moves like signing Vernon Hargreaves III and trading for Gareon Conley. However, they have the ability to generate pressure, which causes the second-year quarterback to struggle. The result of that pressure will be Houston coming up with some timely turnovers off Allen’s arm.

On the other side of the ball, the Bills have the scheme and talented bodies to effectively pressure Watson. And while the Texans signal-caller is mobile enough to make plays with his legs, his arm might be a different story as Tre’Davious White, Micah Hyde and a talented secondary can match up with the stars of the Houston pass-catching corps.

When it’s all said and done in the first round of the 2020 NFL Playoffs, both Allen and Watson will dish out at least two interceptions on Saturday. In the end, that should result in a wash and the game won’t be decided by the quarterback play — which is probably good news for the Bills.
