31. Carolina Panthers

Disappointment doesn’t even begin to describe how 2019 turned out for the Carolina Panthers since this team looked like a top contender in the first half of the regular season for a second year in a row, only to fall way short of the playoffs.

Of course, the only difference this time around was the Panthers decided to move on from Ron Rivera before the regular season officially came to an end, as there are already numerous candidates lining up to potentially become the next head coach of the team.

Once Carolina does figure out their situation at head coach, it will be interesting to see which quarterback the team decides to move forward with since Kyle Allen seemed to be a lock for the future a few months ago after replacing Cam Newton, only to end up being a work in progress.

When taking all of these factors into consideration, it’s easy to make the case that Carolina will most likely be a work in progress heading into the 2020 season, but at least the offense is fortunate to still have Christian McCaffrey in the backfield.

After setting new career highs in 2019 with 2,392 yards from scrimmage to go along with 19 touchdowns, one can only imagine what next season will have in store for McCaffrey on offense with the Panthers.
