Super Bowl LIV: Kansas City Chiefs (2) vs San Francisco 49ers (1)

So there you go. The Chiefs and 49ers are your representatives for the AFC and NFC in Super Bowl 54, at least according to my predictions. If that ends up being the case, it’ll be quite the intriguing matchup between two powerhouses.

Boy, could this one go either way. On one hand, we could see an offensive onslaught between two teams that haven’t struggled to put up points in 2019. At the same time, both are very stout defensively, which could result in another low-scoring affair. Can Mahomes get going against the San Francisco defense? At the same time, can Garoppolo get going against the KC defense?

Either way, it would be an exciting showdown between two of the NFL’s up-and-coming teams. No more Patriots domination of the AFC, as this game would instead pit two of the game’s top young quarterbacks against one another. It would also be interesting to see the dynamic mind of Shanahan up against the wily veteran presence of Reid.

For now, I’m not going to get into any predictions since this was meant to focus on the Conference Championships. However, I wanted to take a quick look at the teams I’m predicting will wage war for the Lombardi Trophy.

Enjoy the AFC and NFC Conference Championship games. If my predictions come true, we’ll be seeing the Chiefs and 49ers meeting for the right to be dubbed Super Bowl victors on Feb. 2.
