20. Smith records multiple sacks for second-straight week

Defense will be key for the Packers during the NFC Championship against the 49ers since Jimmy Garoppolo and company seemed to have little trouble putting up the necessary points the week before against the Minnesota Vikings.

Not to mention, after San Francisco won with ease during the first meeting with Green Bay during the regular season by defeating the NFC North champions 37-8, the Packers’ defense will need to display one of their best performances of the season in this one.

During last weekend’s win over the Seahawks, Za’Darius Smith someone found a way to record two sacks on Russell Wilson, which is never easy when seeing how great of a scrambler the Seattle star tends to be.

Even though San Francisco’s offensive line is arguably better than what Wilson has to work with in Seattle, Smith has proven to be effective on defense all year for Green Bay after finishing the regular season with a career-high 13.5 sacks.

Getting to Garoppolo will be far from easy for Smith and the rest of the defense for the Packers, but this team seems extra motivated after the accomplishment of helping defeat Wilson to make sure the 49ers star quarterback sees as much pressure as possible.
