2020 NFL Mock Draft: What if the Bengals pass on Joe Burrow?
By Dan Parzych
Over the last two years, the New York Giants have been fortunate enough to add two key playmakers on offense in Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones to show how bright the future could be.
With that being said, if the Giants want to become legitimate contenders in the NFC, New York will need to spend the next few months improving on the defensive side of the football as well, especially since they play in the NFC East.
Most likely, the Giants will focus on defense right away in the draft, and with the team landing the No. 4 pick in the first round, New York could be in great position to land one of the top cornerbacks from this year’s class in Jeffrey Okudah.
No on needs to explain just how great of a job Ohio State does in producing some amazing defenders that go on to succeed in the NFL, and it seems like only a matter of time before Okudah sees his name added to that impressive list.
Okudah’s technique will need some work at the NFL level, but from a developmental perspective, if the Giants were to be patient on this move, it would have all sorts of potential in the long run.
