There were questions about where Dugger could line up. Was he a box safety or an outside linebacker?  According to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread, at least one NFL scout touted Dugger as both a safety and return man.

"“[AFC Scout] He’ll develop into a box safety or an outside linebacker, but as a returner, I think he’s special because he’s strong enough to break the first tackle, stick his foot in the ground and get upfield.”"

At the Senior Bowl, Dugger proved he’s a safety that could do more than just play in the box. According to the Stick to Football podcast, Dugger moved well in space. He flashed at times and made plays all over the field. While he doesn’t have the desired flexibility, he’s 6-0, 217 pounds with room to grow on his frame.

Thanks to his length and weight, Dugger can matchup against tight ends and flexed backs. Dugger made some big-time plays on Saturday showing he can close on flat routes and make plays in the backfield. He’s definitely earned some top-100 buzz could easily hear his name called early on Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft.
