3. Vikings led the way on both sides of the ball

An initial takeaway that appeared throughout the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl for the Minnesota Vikings was the fact that the purple and gold had players lead the way for the NFC on both sides of the ball on Sunday afternoon.

More from NFL Spin Zone

With a total of eight players taking part in the game for Minnesota, fans saw Vikings players early and often throughout the game and the representatives ended up stepping up and putting on a show both on offense and defense.

While quarterback Kirk Cousins led the NFC under center in the contest (more on that in the upcoming slides), the NFC offense was also paced by Vikings running back Dalvin Cook who led the way on the ground in the running game for the conference.

Although the NFC ended up finishing with just four rush attempts in the game, Cook finished with a team-best three rushing attempts and tallied a total of 17 yards out of the backfield.

On defense, Minnesota had more action take place with its players in the game, led by safety Harrison Smith, cornerback Xavier Rhodes, linebacker Eric Kendrick and defensive end Everson Griffen.

Smith finished with a few tackles and also recorded a third-quarter interception on the defensive side of the ball to stand out among the Vikings players. Kendricks ended up tallying six tackles, while Griffen finished with one tackle.

It helped that Minnesota had a total of eight players take part in the Pro Bowl on Sunday, but the Vikings players put on a show and helped lead the way for the NFC on both sides of the field in Orlando.
