Yannick Ngokoue

Yannick Ngokoue might be a perfect match for the Bills, as he has everything they could possibly want in a defensive end. Selected in the third round out of Maryland in 2015, Ngakoue immediately made an impact along the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive line.

More from NFL Spin Zone

The 6-2, 246-pound defensive lineman had eight or more sacks and 14 or more quarterback hits in each of his four seasons in Jacksonville. He also produced in terms of takeaways, forcing 14 fumbles and intercepting two passes in his career.

Ngakoue would be a perfect complement on the opposite side of Hughes, as both are fully capable of winning one-on-one battles. Ngakoue’s age would also be a boon for Buffalo, as he’ll be only 25 years old and entering the prime of his career. He already indicated earlier this season that he does not intend to re-sign with the Jaguars, so the Bills could be ready to pounce when the market opens in March.

Currently, Spotrac has Ngakoue’s market value at $17.1 million AAV, which would make him the fifth highest-paid defensive end in the NFL. Buffalo could certainly afford his price tag and structure the deal so they have an out after Year 3 of his contract; this would approximately be the time their quarterback would be in need of an extension.

Ngakoue could add some much-needed star-power to the Bills defense if the young playmaker decides to move from one Josh Allen to another. Ngakoue would be an ideal target for Buffalo.
