3. Cleveland Browns

Not that we shouldn’t have seen it coming but the 2019 Cleveland Browns were essentially the embodiment of Murphy’s Law. Anything that could go wrong for them did as Baker Mayfield regressed following his tantalizing rookie season, Odell Beckham Jr. crashed and burned in his first season with the Browns, the offensive line was a disaster, Freddie Kitchens was even more of a debacle and Myles Garrett tried to decapitate Mason Rudolph with a helmet.

As poorly as things went for the Browns this past season, however, it’s hard not to have hope in what they could potentially accomplish in the 2020 season now that they’ve hopefully found some stability. Kitchens and general manager John Dorsey are out with Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry replacing them, respectively.

Stefanski now takes over a team that is loaded with talent and promise. Not only do they have Mayfield in only his third year and one of the most talented receivers in Beckham, but Jarvis Landry and Nick Chubb are also elite offensive weapons while the defense is young and talented as well. Moreover, they have the No. 10 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to, likely, help fix the offensive line.

The old adage goes, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Well, I’m prepared to put the shame on me in the 2020 season as it’s just too hard not to believe in the talent the Browns have if they can become a more disciplined team that fixes their biggest flaw on offense in the offseason.
