If Minnesota were to officially move on from Diggs this offseason and wanted to replace him right away in the first round of the draft, Henry Ruggs III arguably deserves serious consideration, especially with his blazing speed.

Numbers-wise, Ruggs doesn’t stand out as much as some of the other receivers from this year’s draft class with only 86 catches for 1,487 yards, but the 18 touchdowns are certainly impressive to show what kind of impact he could make at the NFL level.
Looking at Minnesota’s current situation in the wide receiver department, while it would certainly be difficult for Ruggs to fill any potential void left by Diggs if the team were to move on, at least the Alabama star could benefit from playing alongside Adam Thielen.
Even though Thielen has benefited in his own way over the years from playing alongside Diggs as a reliable No. 2 option in the passing game, the numbers he displays show he could also be a top option if needed for the Vikings.
All things considered, Ruggs with his instincts and playmaking ability could provide Minnesota’s offense with the kind of new weapon they will need if things fail to work out with Diggs sticking around.
