3. Logan Ryan, CB, Tennessee Titans

Yes, the Raiders secondary took a significant step forward in 2020. The unit was a disaster in 2019, but showed improvement throughout this past season. That, however, doesn’t mean that the shot callers should stop making upgrades.

Trayvon Mullens was an excellent addition as a rookie and figures to move forward as a full-time starter on one side. The Raiders also have a quality starter in Daryl Worley, but he’s headed for free agency. If he opts not to join the team in their move to Las Vegas, that could leave the defense a bit short at cornerback.

If that ends up being the case, Logan Ryan would be a tremendous get for Mike Mayock.

Logan Ryan is a veteran secondary presence who proved this past season that he’s still one of the best in the game. He created turnovers at a consistent clip and shut down opposing receivers. His ability to keep quarterbacks in check played a huge part in the Tennessee Titans’ defensive success.

Ryan won’t come cheap if he decides to leave Nashville, but the Raiders have plenty of cap space to play with. If upgrading the pass defense is a priority, throwing money at Ryan would be a wise decision for Mayock and Gruden.
